Dodgeball, although fun seems to lack a certain professional quality. But more recently Rens had the idea of inserting dodgeball into DM maps, removing the teams and adding the option of a few more balls. Creating DOB FFA.

I dont know how many of you have played this, and if anyone wants to i can run it on a server for all to try. But imo this game contains the fealing normal DOB was missing and would sit nicely alongside DB.

It plays half way between deathball and DM using skills from both and I figure its inclusion (along with a few good custom maps) could draw players looking for a new style of DM action to the DB community, especially if pimped the right way. EG a nice gameplay movie and a headline on the appropriate news sites.

I've heard DavidM is yet to play this and wont listen to me when i ask him to, what do you guys think about this?

remember im not refering to the normal dodgeball mode in the square maps

tho the poor lil modem peolpe hafta think of a little.

but still give some support DM! even if you don't like the mod someone who likes your mod made it from yours! thats good for the scene in general.

well most of NA loved the dob mod and im sure most of NA would really have some fun playing it again

if need be i would be willing to host the file...i know you want DB support for it but thought i would offer

The last time I messed with dodgeball, it wasn't working right for Fizzy on his mapvote server and it didn't work on my ut2vote server either. I'll give it another test since I have a different build of ut2vote now.

Tested it every which way I can think of. Dodgeball still hangs/crashes the server when it is run with UT2Vote.

imo i think DoB should be included. It's a great mod and its loadsa fun to play :p

It needs to work with UT2Vote and Mapvote first. And by that, I'm bluntly implying that right now it doesn't.
If Rens would fix that, I'd host it on my server.. or more accurately, set Hidden=false in my UT2Vote setup since it's been there for me to activate whenever I need my server crashed.

Ok. It's a dead mod. No need to include it.

DoB is a nice mod, but after 2 days its pretty boring...
cant say this about DoB FFA tho, never played it but i wud shurely like to
