Can you keep to a standard convention

Post by FireCell »

I noticed with the betas you have the file names in lower case, where as in other versions it is mixed. Now for windows users this isnt a problem, but for us few linux users it is. Deathball is different to deathball in linux and therefore when changing files over deathball.u and Deathball.u can co-exist in the directory and cause problems. Maybe keep the file names the same?

beta bugs and qwirks:
show spectators = borked
red health hud for blue team
red no keeper icon for blue team
blue no keeper icon for red team
4 icons for having the ball and being in pzone
when having the ball during the changeover period from celebration to replay, passlock doesnt work properly, makes a continous passlock sound, like it was borked in offline (v. annoying)

requests:
the number 4 to be changed, looks way too much like 9

instead of "spawning" during the ready up stage, have it so that you can play, except its in practice mode, once the match starts put the players into their right positions. better this way, its boring if the match doesnt start for a while

is the campy jump explosion thing toggle-able?

it dents my fps big time, it goes into slideshow when shitty attackers just stand in front of me and jump around in the vague hope that one of their teammates will rmb pass, so they can whore the volley thing

edit: and yeah to the filename thing, ill moan more when i boot into nix later

Im sure im not the only one, but is it hard to leave them the same? I dont know about what files are needed for servers, but you will also find nearly all the servers running your mod are probably linux.. or some variation.

make that two users...plus thousands of server admins.
and it doesn't matter *what* the filename capitalizations are, as long as they are consistent :)

I agree we should keep the names the same. I'll try to improve it :)
