i believe its called sarcasm =S
Irony, cynicis..cynisi..Cynicism! and Sarcasm are basically the same, but justa step up in 'cruelty'...well that doesn't do em justice, but it's a general way of describing it

at least that's the way my dutch teacher tried to explain us 4 years ago
I still can't explain it..but I know their meaning
So yeah...you can use irony for that O_o (altho cynicism would have fit better imo).
I am also aware the english like using it for a situation that turns out with a high comical value..I don't know exactly what's up with that

but as far as I'm aware the dutch don't use it like that

I wonder how much say Bill Gates has any more in the way his company's operating systems run.
Yup

but it's like saying 'This game was created by Miyamoto' or 'This game was created by the makers of Grand Theft Auto', while it was a whole team and miyamoto didn't even come up with 50% of what's in the game, and the team that created the game 'by the makers of' were just another team of the same company
What I'm trying to say is that people often use the name of a person that most stands out, or carries out the name of the company, when talking about the company ;p
The same thing happens when people blame DavidM for anything wrong in DB
Well..I know you already know that ;p
But that doesn't make me less bored!
