install/play it on 2004?

Hi,
I know that DB is currently not for 2004, but anyhow is there no way to install/play
it although?
I'll go on Weekend to a LAN Party with 50 people, a lot of are hot for Deathball.
But only 2004 will be played:
i think it growS the community; when we could play it there
Has someone run some test already?
Or is the Beta already working with 2004?

i believe that the goal for the next beta will be 2k4 compatability (was that right?) hopefully you can get your hands on it before the lan

theres not really much work to do, in order to update ut2k3 content to ut2k4, its almost the same game, so im guessing he was serious
as it will still beta i dont say u have to upgrade now.
ut2k4 might be hell for DB community, with the netcode compatibility broken, there is a risk of splitting the community in 2... so tough times for Team Vortex are coming, i guess.

we wont start splitting, its just not worth the effort.
so all on 2k4
I'm really sorry for all who have to waste money on it. Same for me, I don't want the actual game, but we are kinda forced to do that step

that was exactly what i was expecting to read... Epic is actually forcing mod makers to do ut2k4 mods in order to participate in MSU Phase 3 & 4, so UT2k3 is really doomed...
so Onge either buy ut2k4 or "bye bye" to DB =(
