what are these new changes in the updated verson of 2k4 beta

I tried to go through the change log to see if these were changes from 1.9b but they aren't easy to read if you are just looking for one thing. Are these changes from 1.9b and if so what is the purpose? imo 1.9b is pretty well refined, I don't see a need for change.

some of those things got lost during the change from 2k3 to 2k4, they were just readded
