Maps & 2.0 for UT2k4

I downloaded Deathball 2.0 yesterday. Which I notice comes with the maps. Yet when I connect to servers (saw 3 max so far) it tries to redownlaod any of the maps. I think this might be in the semi-faq where servers might have put the maps in a different spot than the deathball client puts them. So maybe it is a known problem.

But then I tried copying the maps to my main maps dir and it didn't help.

Also the maps download soooo slowly from the servers that it looks like it would take 30 min or so just to get the map, which doesn't seem right. (unless these servers are all way across the country and are using some sort of bandwidth limiter for map downloads).

I'd like to be able to set up the maps on my local client sothey don't have to be redownloaded. Is there a post that shows how this can be done?

Thanks,
TherMight

Extract using winzip wizard to X:\UT2004 where X is your drive, dont extract it to the deathball folder, it already has build in folder structure.

If this is not your problem, then I got no idea.

make sure you have NO deathball files in the immediate ut2004/ subfolders!
you most likely have older versions in these. everything must be in ut2004/deathball/

It can be easily done. Look up and see my sticky post titled "Server Issues"? In there is the solution for your client side downloading maps you already have.
