I've got a bunch of great ideas for maps and mods that I want to make but the thing is im a noob therefore I dont know shit so here are a few things I would like to know so I could go on my (and possibly other noobs that will read the responses) way to map and mod making.

1. Do you use unreal editor that comes with the game or something different?

2. Could you post any links on showing tutorials?

3. And how do you broadcast your finished mod/map (well I know that they broadcast through message boards but exactly how do you make a link for it?)

thank you

1.) unreal editor

2.) http://deathball.net/mapping/
http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/UnrealEdInterface
http://www.planetunreal.com/architecton ... level.html (basic stuff - good starting point)

3.) You need a site to host it. Your own web space or someone elses like pcgamemods.com

the deathball mapping tutorial presumes that you know the editor and "normal" mapping

well if I had the special ut2k4 edition I wouldnt be asking about it now would I
but if you have the dvd could you burn it an send it to me please? but if your a legal stuck up dont worry about it you'll only get screwed if you distribute the dvd's in a semi-large scale as well as if you try to sell them.

i enjoy your tone, please follow davids advice and try and click the link without hurting yourself or anyone close to you.

the tutorials held on mastering unreal are identical to those on the se dvd (omg epic ripped them off lol)

has anyone here ever signed up to that 3dbuzz site (masteringunreal.com) because im having problems getting that friggin confirmation email I knew the link to that site before david posted it and I did try to signup but never got a confirmation in weeks as well I tried using a different email address (you can only use one email to account) but I still got nothing

If anyone has an account could they please report this or if possible can I use your account maybe I wont do any message board stuff or anything to screw up your reputation
