i feel sorry for all those poor souls who are leaving db... the last two nights on the bud NA server have been jam packed with rookie players 6 on 6 REG on various maps lego, football even, tribune, curve and the kids love it

so if you decide to swing buy and play with the rookies please be nice :) they love the mod and i think they'll stick around, they were even asking if there are teams and such. so lets get this pwnin!

meow i'm happy

There has been a ton of newbies coming lately. Looks like the NA needs another 2k4 server. Maybe someone will switch one of the ut2k3 servers over now that recon has dropped their prices and the 2k4 players are on the increase. Nice to see all the new faces. It's been a long time since I've seen a full server at 4am in the NA

dun talk poo to these noobs and get all high and mighty on them. This is what scares people away. If people ask for advice, give it to them. If not, let them improve the way we have, over time, on our own, through our experiences. Sticking your nose in without being asked really discourages people. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, i'm just speaking from experience \o/

Yes more servers would help out some. Also good to see that some new people are discovering DB. Figures NA DB would pick up at during a period when I am too busy to really play it. Oh well no rest for the weary, back to work for me.

yes, i am a euro and dont mind playing on bud server etc, i think its good new and upcoming players are starting, but as me and titanium found out, its hard 2 teach them when they dont listen, i mean basic things like stand still and left click the ball is so hard?
must be my patients, but i do try :p

Just be patient and don't shout or scream. It takes a long time to learn how to play DB to the standard we're all used to :)

They voted up DB-BigLowCube even though I told them it was HUGE!

I had to wipe aside tears of joy and then I started the server-side demo..

If you want to see this, here it is: http://bud.recongamer.com/deathball/060 ... Cube.demo4

You can see there are some that listen, some that don't... meh..

I am thinking about admin switching to DB-Antean and teaching them how to ride the launcher as an aid to boosting.. so they can see dramatically, the value of teh boost.
