I'm a newbie to this entire league, and just from what I've seen of it all so far, I thought I'd throw in 2 cents, not necessarily to better the league, but make it more fun and interesting... First of all, I think something that would be really cool, is if there was a play-by-play announcer, that way people would be able to tune into the server that an announcer is broadcasting from (can be done from Ventrilo, Teamspeak, or Roger Wilco) and get all the latest information on all that good old DB stuff. Second of all, I think it would be fun to have stats kept on the site, such as goals scored, assists, goals saved, and other such stats that would go into the game. I'm not sure if these will be used, I don't expect then to be, but I thought I'd just point them out for fun. Don't take anything too seriously, just consider it perhaps? There's my two cents.

Well we did have a shoutcast element that did some games, occasionally got 40+ people, irrc. That died off.

As for stats, it might work for the higher teams, but it's going to be hard to remember to take stats when you just been beaten like a ginger stepchild or if you just made a big win. So they'd be missing data a lot, eg some team might get em all, but some team might get half - so it's mismatched.

I think an end prize might be good, make people pay to register (not a lot!), this makes sure they play the games - and it lowers the number or clans so it makes it less of a heavy scheduel. Then the money from that and maybe sponsers or whatever creates some lame prize, like 7 DB T-Shirts with your name, clan, and preferred number on/
