hello internet fans,

unfortunately, im moving house so i probably wont be able to actively reply and lie to you regarding this map, but this is my parting gift.

It looks like this:

most of the euros have either seen it or played it, so i wont blabble on here about it.

Its about 85% of the size of bowl for 10 players, the curved walls add a bit of randomness to the whole shebang.

Its for ut2004 only and should you like the look of the map and have 2.8MB bandwidth remaining this month, and approximately 6.3MB of harddrive space free, feel free to download at your leisure from this handy download link.

THIS IS A NEW VERISON OF LAUZHOU. IF YOUVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED IT, OVERWRITE THAT ONE WITH THIS UPDATED, SHINY NEW VERSION. (and if its on your server, update that one too; also, cheers to flau, npu and anyone else who helped me playtest it)

if you did download, leave your comments, tho i may or may not be around to listen, read or refute them

this is a mostly copy and paste announcement

goodbye internet

hm, uncubish-surfaces aren't really good if the ball can touch them, since its not predictable what's gonna happen

Sometimes, just sometimes, we deathball players like something a little different from Cube only walls. You dismiss things so easily Mr M. A little variety is not a bad thing. And I've played this map. The curved upper walls do not ruin the gameplay one little bit. If you keep insisting all maps have to be cubes with no roof (too spammy you say, bullshit I say) then there is little point having new maps as we've already plenty of those...

^ What Onge said.

people of deathball, make your voices heard. Every time you run a pickup, don't play yet-another-cube, put Lauzhou on, put November on, put Curve on. Make it known what we want. :)

randomness = laughs = entertainment = :)

without randomness all there are is player made mistakes which = stress = annoyed team mates = :(

Well.. not so much.

If you go for a wall bounce on a surface where it's only a 33% chance of going where you want it to, are you likely to try that bounce? I just think it will lead to reckless plays or take options away from conservative tight ball control players.

Basically you're saying a little randomness isn't bad, but then you say you're happy it doesn't occur in play much anyway.

Mehh..I think roofs are spammy easily, though it all depends on players in the end.

This map is nice :) just like Bowl.

They're the 2 best maps in DB atm..I love them :o

^ yush =\

Not only is the entire backwall round, but the rods and some other differences in the side walls make the ball bounce off rather weird sometimes /o\
