Map Editing Question

Hey everybody, i have a problem, i'm trying to make my map more.. user friendly and under the section http://www.deathball.net > stuff > mapping ... it says for a radar to "print" screen, well what does it mean and how do i do that? i tried looking for a command in the ut editor, but couldnt find it :D thanks for ne help;)

"print screen" is a button on your keyboard which stores the current screen in your "ctrl+v"
its next to pause and the button that sez "rollen" (at least on a german keyboard)

rollen = scroll lock on most non german keyboards :)

Lol sorry for being a idiot :D and im on a laptop so its different but that helped :D thanks, ill tell you if i have any more problems, though they'll prolly be just as stupid DOH! lol

ahahah wow i knew i'd have more stupid questions ;) :P :D lol anyways to the point, i made a radar picture and added an alpha channel to it, first off i dont know what type of file to save this as, and second off i dont know how to successfully load it into the ut editor as a shader... please help again :D

Actually i just tried again, i made sure it was the correct file type that being .bmp!!! and i loaded it using the friggen idiots guide under the mapping section EVERY TIME I DO IT IT SHOWS EVERY SINGLE texture and it doesnt include the one i imported i'm wondering if its a 2k4 bug, a personal bug, due to our install, or if i'm doing something wrong ITS SO STUPID!! omg i followed everything and still nothing works right, pleaaaaase davidM tell me u know what to do... and :\ if not can i send my level and radar to u to put together? thank you.

its pretty early in the morning in germany, so wait a few hours and let him answer

you can also ask people on irc, NA community is on irc.gamesurge.net #dbpug (quiet, but sometimes people answer you) or the Euro community is on irc.quakenet.org #dbpickup

or you can open an existing map and see how they did it, or something.

man, use dds, bitmaps are the worst possible format in terms of size, and bmp has no alpha!

just read the tutorial, it's all in there! the whole save, import etc process.....

lol i figured it out before i read this thread again, i got it done so i'm gonna go post my map back in the map section, i had to use a different file because my adobe is messed up, just like my ut editor :D lol well thats that, thanks every1
