Strange Physics Volume Bug

I've been encountering strange things with ball reset volumes lately. On random occasions the ball will pass through the reset volume as if it is not there, on others it will reset as it is supposed to. I have been getting this bug the most on my map DB-Branwen2004. I was wondering if this was some strange bug that the recent UT2004 patch brought about, or whether I've simply done something wrong with the volumes?
Somebody please get DB-Branwen2004 and tell me if they get this bug too.

I saw it happen on ShortNight. Ball managed to find itself somewhere it wasn't supposed to be able to reach and it never reset. This is an especially maddening bug.
It may be related to the problem with DeathVolley? Where the blocking volumes (the glass) aren't blocking?

Well it's certainly had me pulling hairs cause I initially thought it was a map bug that I couldn't fix.
Now that I think about it though, I do remember seeing it happen on November a couple of times. o_0

So that's what your talking about. I did see that on your map once Armagon but, thought it was a beta bug and a weird deathball bug. I've only seen it once myself.
I know it should be impossible for the ball to get out of Short Night. However, the reset volume is very thin.
Might be two bugs. One - the volume. Two - still balls not reseting. - Both deathball related.
Does your map have thin reset volumes Armagon?
Imaginos, I believe deathvolley's problem is that it needs to be saved in UT2004. Some UT2003 meshes don't have collision in UT2004. A simple save in UT2004 should fix meshes that didn't make the crossover.

The volumes are pretty thin. I have one over the top, and a single hollowed out volume around the sides. Originally it was multiple volumes around the sides but I made a single octagonal one in their place, in an attempt to fix this irritating bug. Obviously it didn't work.
EDIT: I spoke to my friend and mapper Anarkist about the physics volume bug. He thinks the problem could be that my volumes are too thin, so I'm going to make them nice and thick. I'll let you know what happens.
EDIT 2: It didn't work.

I would love to do that and get the map fixed. All I have to do is manage to locate Stain and get his permission. I haven't seen him in forever though..

Had it happen on my new ClearNight also. Luckily the ball reset after sitting out of play for a minute.
Seem to happen right where the volume was flush with BSP. Are your volumes flush Armagon, or are they sunk into the BSP?

Partially, yes.

Solution:
Add a solid volum a few units behind the reset volume so the ball bounces through it twice and *should* reset.
