Volleying power preparation
Why have power volleys always been a case of simply tapping a mouse button to get a predictable velocity based on how close the player is to the ball?
Wouldn't a system that involved players having to charge up their volley shots be better, so that a player has to anticipate the pass ---> start charging ---> ball arrives inside volley radius ---> release charge button?

i would be interested in the reasons that some form of charge system wouldn't work. seems to me that if you get suprized then your volley should be less powerful, as you didn't have time to perpare for it (hench like it would be in any real life sport).
i would love to see a system that would emulate kicking the ball for volleys (if done right it could be a major game play change that opened up the game to more skill and a more complex O D balance, the point would be to make things less accurate in db thus more real *of course d would have to be changed to*)

i think the normal (left-click) volleys should be left as they are, since reflex volleys are a critical part of the game, imo.
however the idea of 'volley power preparation' might work with the 'right-click volleys'
why not make the scroll-wheel (next/prev weapon) adjust the body volley power whilst the right-mouse button is held?
a HUD with low/mid/high power indicators when the right mouse button is pressed would do the trick
