i guess winner will be random, since unwheel won last time, and it plays REALLY crappy

i have to agree with you there, unwheel felt aweful to play

still cant believe Carball is a finalist

ok, my opinions about those:

Xcalon - been done a dozen times, and not even well done
MiniSpy - boring level design, horrible controls
Duffers Golf - omg, cheap x_X
Anomaly - hm dunno, a solid racing game i think, but the controls don't work with these maps...
Province of Demons - crappy controls x_X
Mutâi - wtf? you run around, max fun for 10 mins
CarBall - where is the gameplay?
UnWheel - as mentioned, feels wrong
Alien Swarm - it's solid, but it's been done 100 times, played stuff like that on the gameboy....move on!

I've played the first Unwheel beta and with an not working bot support and an unplayable online mode, it's one of the cheapest mods i've ever seen.

AlienSwarm is quite playable. Funny with guys on voice, but seems to be very "altbacken"

Maybe you're just saying that because you've been playing it for over a year and (god knows why ) still enjoying it?

Alien swarm is a very good mod. It's the only one that offers real competition to DB, in my opinion.

no ones making comment about air buccaneers...i think it has a good chance of winning, games are insane fun in a full server

duffers is fairly solid and quite professional, and its also very original for the unreal engine, but not sure it has what it takes to win

i gotta say i got all my money on alien swarm to win, that was quality work and it just appeared out of nowhere.

ABU is a decent mod, similar to DB as you 90% of the time HAVE to be a team player to win.

Problem i've got with ABU is it's too slow. I know they've fixed a lot in 4.1 (including those bastard TK'ers). I'll try it again some time.

duffers is anything but professional, look at the hilarios player model + animations

DB's player model system is hardly professional quality, at the moment.

db models aren't cripples, and they have no cripplish animations either
that's something already which no one seems to appreciate

player models and animations arent even theirs :p they are placeholders, they are the tutorial models off udn. everything else about the game is the obvious result of perfectionism, the team has a lot of talent and has poured a lot of heart into the mod. when you look at deathball you notice there is only one person in the dev team that is passionate about the development DB :p
