Tennis and Warfare 15.07.2004 21:59

To keep you updated: Usaar33 is going to fix the Warfare mode, so we can hopefully reintroduce it to DB.
And we've got a new man for the Tennis mode, who will fix this one.

We hope to have these modes in a version to be released by the end of august. I don't know if we'll release another version earlier.

DavidM apperently things he owns Tennis, but that is not true... The only things Teamvortex did for Tennis is:
- map
- put the files in the zip

And i'm currently already working on an inividual UT2004 version of Tennis and it's almost done...

Just want to know of the community, what would you like? A stolen mod made by DavidM or a full inividual mod made by me and Fizzy with new models and maps?

tbh, I don't care about Tennis either way, but I know Rens is a good coder, so I wouldn't really care either way if it was a sub-mod or a stand-alone-mod.

Stealing shouldn't be allowed though ^^; duh.

But that's something between TV and Rens+Fizzy innit?

Tennis isn't Deathball content, it's a sub-mod made by different ppl, and you just gave them the oppertunity to add Tennis with the Deathball zip/exe.

davidm, you have no right to do this. Tennis was fully made by Fizzy and me, you never did anything for it. Where were you when we betatested? nowhere. And everytime a new db version got released it had a buggy Tennis version or no version because you didn't care to wait for me to test it with the newest version of db.

You don't own Tennis, we do.

I don't care what you do with Warfare, because that was designed by you. You came up wth the idea and the gameplay was designed by you. So it is yours. But you haven't done ANY designing for Tennis. So just let that new coder work on Warfare or Deathball and let us work on Tennis. It's not like you ever cared about it anyways.

If he can take tennis and say its deathball content, we can take deathball and say its tennis content.

tbh, it was not correct from Team Vortex to use Tennis and Warfare, i guess DavidM assumed you wouldn't mind since u let these mods be a part of DB in UT2003. Probably he thought u didn't care about these mods now and wouldnt mind seeing them as part of 2k4's DB as well.

But apparently u care about Tennis, and thus Team Vortex shouldnt be using it.
BUT, I don't think that a independant Tennis Mod will be as successful as a Tennis Mod included with DB.

if u stay in DB, everyone that gets DB gets Tennis and might be willing to play it, meaning a big community playing ur mod regularly.

If u do it separate most ppl wont care about the mod, only a small part of the DB community will have it, and ppl outside the DB community wont care about it imo.

I say rens should cooperate with Team Vortex for this mod.
