Well....
Since the DB-Community has been officialy started, i haven't seen teams playing any ladder games etc etc... and to be honest, the db.community activity is some what looks death!
I don't think this happens becouse teams are inactive, i see many active teams just playing fun wars... so it's just becouse ladder system is annoying for teams.
I think the organiser of this ladder arrangement took it too easy and they didn't fully plan how hard is to organize a ladder, league or a cup...
U blamed dbl many times, but at least we had a competition working and we were bringing that to the end aswell... when teams HAD TO play at least we were seeing some official matches :)

BTw DB Smackdown 2 Cup @ September :)

DB-Community is not dead at all. We are currently working on creating a player database, look at our forums for more information on that.
Also the site is being re-organised, with better custom user-uploads and custom map reviews.

Remove all the teams and make people ersign up ;P theres liek 30 teams and like 10 -real- teams ehe ::yawns::

when i used to play on clans for other leagues they had a league night sorta thing, where matches were played on one day unless the two teams agreed to rescedule. but it still had to be done within a certain amount of time.

DB-Com is no longer hosting competitions for the moment - I'd rather focus on the community. We'll be doing match reports, interviews, etc. Also hosting peoples maps/moids/demos and things from games... basically coverage of things, and being a place where people can hang out rather than hosting competitions. So that's why we've taken the ladders down - they were only up because i thought we should at least make an effort to bring back competative play (they weren;t seriously organised, just if people wanted to use them. Turns out they didn't so we haven't pushed them :) ).
