as long as its still possible from like, an angle of 90 degrees its fine, as you can volley it before it hits your catch radius, obviously from behind is another story.

Waste of code to remove it.
If you wanna stop the whoring you should remove 'charge'-fire-passing up the air as well, cause that's the next thing what will happen. I don't care, I prefer the right mouse passes myself 'cause it's faster and more spectaculair/harder to defend.
I can do the other stuff as well though, I don't see a reason to remove it from the game. Imo there are more important things to fix.

Not that hard to defend. Just hit the forward away or steal the ball. I don't know what the big deal is.

EDIT: The things that were whored and removed in the past and present have been because there is no way to get around it. Broomsticks and huge defensive bounce radius to name a few. This 3rd jump issue is easy to defend and shouldn't even be an issue.

I've been saying for a long time that this is a very bad trend for DeathBall as I'm still one of the believers that ideally most goals should be scored from the ground with a shot on goal using LMB.

Having said that, I have recently fallen into the habit of whoring this RMB 3rd jump volley stuff too and it is very effective usually. It's recently hit home that I really do suck and this has been one of the few things that I've been any good at (I never thought I was anything special but I didn't realise I'm as bad as I actually am).

So, what I'm saying in a roundabout way is that it's gonna be a pain in the arse for me when this technique is removed but I think it will be good for the game as a whole.

whats sad, is that now all the vo games, your gonna see a lot less of passing and a lot more hogging (if it wasn't bad enough )
