I just download the deathball.zip and on my computer I don't have a ut folder just the ut icon. I can't figure out how to install deathball. I'm gonnna try reinstalling but I don't think that will work, can you guys help me.

Also, I have a Mac and the latest patch, not 3204 i think its like 3234 or something.

I reinstalled and it didn't work. Again, there is NO ut 2004 folder for me only the icon that starts the game. HEEEELP! Please!!!!

gonna probably have to wait a while for a constructive reply, i dont think there are many users that use mac

AFter about an hour of work, I got to the pont where on my community thing in UT2k4 it says deathball. when i click activate, it closes ut2004 and opens up a program called "Terminal". It then shows me this-

I hate to triple post, but then again I hate to figure things out by myself. I had the maps set in a different folder so i put them in their correct folder. Now terminal has cut it down to

But after that it just sits there and does nothing, the game doesn't start up or when i start it up its just normal ut2k4..

dammit...just did a huge long post, then accidently clicked reset form...

anyway, I can't help much, I don't use my mac for deathball...and from the looks of that terminal text, u need 1 of the TV team /0\

that looks like the same thing you get in windows command prompt when you try to start a server

its trying to upload stats and resolve the master server and stuff

either that or its just showing him the hard code of what the game is doing, for some odd reason

BTW...terminal is just a command prompt for mac (:o ...macs have a command prompt )

This is probably important, .exe files don't work on macs. I had to download the zip file and the site says its only for starting servers. the problem is my firewall is off, but for some reason I can't host games (atleast in warcraft3) and I have no idea whats going on with the dedicated server thing. So last night I got fed up with this and ended up throwing out ut2k4 and deathball. I'm going to reinstall it again then download it again. Then when that doesn't work I'll come back here and complain a little more.

I feel so stupid... I went to quick game and i saw deathball. I clicked it and had to dl a lot of stuff but it worked.

That must mean you started DB through the UT2004 icon, meaning it won't initialise a ton of stuff.

I bet you get the actual UT2004 models, for example?
If your game resembles the screenshot and situation as described in this thread, then it isn't exactly as it's supposed to be yet although it's better than nothing

The error is being worked on by TV I think :p
It's supposedly because a lot of DB-specific things (like the models) aren't initialised if you join a DB-game without opening up the DB menu first.

edit: I was going to show a screenshot of how the models should be, but that wouldn't be all too good of a promotion
