Is it a PS/2 keyboard?
Does your PC beep when you press them together?
p.s. Wouldn't this be better in the Off Topic forum? Doesn't seem like a DB problem.

I had that problem with my old PS/2 keyboard. I then bought a new one that supports usb and PS/2.
At first I still had the problem (I had it plugged into the PS/2 port), then I plugged it into the USB and the problem went away.
If your keyboard supports USB plug it in with that, if not either use different keys or buy a new keyboard that supports USB. This won't definately fix it though, the keys could still be on the same circuit, however that is highly unlikely with modern keyboards.
p.s. Of course I'm assuming this happens in all games.

could a+s+space be reserved by some other app (or even the keyboard) for a shortcut?
