How to make a movie?

Yeah i recorded my demo with demorec mydemoname but when i launch my demo, how can i start to record a movie? With half-life, i just have to type startmovie moviename 30, for 30 fps, and i get many screenshots and i just have to get them in an avi file. I CANT WITH UNREAL TOURNAMENT (deathball). I tryed with FRAPS, but this programs suck, I cant compress the huge file with anoter program.... how do you do?

get Virtual Dub (free) to compress the raw avi that you get from Fraps
there are probably better solutions for compression, but they'll cost money in most cases

i thought 2k4 comes with a demorec to divx avi option? last time i checked it was there.

Ok with Fraps its work fine
And with command dumbframes start and dumbframes stop also fine!! Thz guys i'll give u my movie in few months

i use fraps and its nice, i just use adobe premier pro to adjust stuff and compress

the included demo to avi in 2k4 sux ass... take me one night long for an 20 min tdm video! Result was bad quality with unrealistic speed on a extreme size ( ok could have use Virtual Dub for that)
fraps is the better option i think
