Was the "noob-cannon" an intentional thing, or is it a bug, and if so is it gonna get removed?

I thought dribbling was a bug when i first saw it, then after a while realised that any1 who was any good was doing it, so i spent some time learning to do it well...then just as i had learnt it was taken out of the game

I didn't think there was a problem with dribble, as it was only useful against n00b defenders, and was a bit risky, but n00b-cannons suck!!!
Theres hardly any point shooting normally anymore.

Please clarify (and put dribble back in...afterall, takin it out gave us the noob-cannon!)

I _THINK_ n00b cannoning was accidental, but to an extent, it cant be "taken out", or really changed... i think the most that can be changed is "Dont allow a volly within X ammount of time from a shot", meaning ppl could wall pass to themselves, and it also gives goalies a few secs to get in pos for the n00b cannon..

was taken out because it was a bug.

we made the ballowner slower, and because of this bug he could almost be as fast as a player without ball.

what about n00b cannoning?

n00b cannon = tapping the fire button, then vollying the ball @ the goal, means theres no need for a full chargeup, and its fired faster..

He's saying he's gonna put in the self-volley latency, hence stopping most of the n00b-cannoning.

It'll still be possible to do it, but not in the same way.

yea it used to be possible before but not in the same way it is now /o\ Its silly the way it is now, you can drop the ball and volley it immediately after. its just plain silly

especially when you play in a pickup and end up on the same team as someone like shin00bu who just forgets all about team play and n00bcannons every time he is vaguely near the enemy goal :\

I can't stand it when im playing a Volley Only game, like on SmallCube, and people run down the field and n00b cannon it in and act like they are all badass and say "it's part of the game".

[sarcasm] Yea sure it takes skill to drop a ball in front of you and cannon it at a keeper that is expecting a wall-volley [/sarcasm]

with a self volley latency of 1 second it takes 1 second after dropping it until you can kick it

ya when we ran volley sunday last sunday, people were n00b canoning all over the place, so we decided to warn, kick, then ban people who did it. And everyone got mad, and it was just craziness, glad to see this will be taken out.

Yah n00b canon ruins volley Sunday.
