. . . and that's not a good thing. I am a n00b:noob: . I admit it. But n00b difficulty on the single player is extremely frustrating, ala Ninja Gaiden. I'm sorry, I know you are going to call me a n00b and tell me to get better, but Deathball is supposed to be a team game, and the bots on my single player game are FRICKIN' DUMB!!!! I can't do anything because the other team is always 1,000 times better than mine. I know Deathball is a work in progress, but if you have to make an ultra-n00b difficulty setting where your bots are masters and the opponents are nimrods, I'll play it. I'm thinking of taking my mod gaming back to steam.
How many people think DB is too hard?

well you need to control the bots on your team, you got a bunch of commands for that.
when i do so, and when i do it well, it gets extremely easy :)

I can't be arsed to control my bots, but I don't find single player too challenging. Or much fun to be honest. But I've been playing DB for a while - I can see how it would be tricky for newbies...

I found it much easier to win in SP on DB 2.2. In about 6 matches I had 1 win, 4 draws and 1 defeat. Is there a way to increase the length of SP matches?

It's really fun and unfortunately also quite easy when you learn to control the bots :)

I like it ^_^

I never thought it'd be difficult for n00bs though.

I'm sure you can play the game properly if you make sure you get the commands right :) just use right click to make them pass to you and just bind a few buttons to get one to always keep, and the rest to either defend and attack..then each time you get the ball, move 1 or 2 defenders up to attack :) easy.

..then move them back to defense again etc.

If you get the ball and are near the goal, just make sure you hold left mouse button long enough and aim at the goal (preferably above the bot keeper, he doesn't seem to catch it often then).

It's very important that you hold it, and don't just click it, that will release a useless weak shot :)

Have you seen the instructional video? ;o
If you can score you can easily win :) it's all about trusting the bots, getting the ball passed to you (read: holding alternate fire), and scoring :o

its a mix of hard and easy. on one hand. shooting on the keeper cna be pretty easy at times cuz he stands still :)

but the defense, or bot midfielders. when they have the ball. its pretty tough to get the ball back. as they never pass interceptions unless it .2's and they back off untill you hit the, and then pass it away.

they just play like bots is all :) robotic and such - i'd like to see them when they ahve the ball move always torward the other net, passing back only when no forward is open. and taking shots from further out, even if they don't have a huge chance of making them. currently they'll get near the pbox before charging.

i'd make them someitmes wait till they get hti before they charge so its not so easy to shake their shots.

gl programing :) ai must be a nightmare.
