What are those numbers in brackets, only going up to ...?

Ever play battleships?

Hiya, new here, been playing notpron for a few weeks now and have gotten to this level. Few days of staring at the numbers later, I'm stuck. I've never played battleship before, and all I get from the bracket comment is 3, so I was hoping maybe a little hint to help nudge me along? I'm stumped =x Not looking for a spoiler though, that would just ruin all the fun.

new versions of battleship play with letters and numbers, not just numbers :S

I thought I had it figured out. But [2] 1 doesn't make sense to me. Am I on the wrong track?

Have no clue if you are on the wrong track or not.. you don't tell me which track you are on.

I figured out the first row but the second...total darkness.

same process is used so you shouldn't have a problem

Heh found it, lol I slap my face. The mind always goes complicated but the answer is almost obvious .

I've found the clues in the source code but can't figure out how that relates to battleship
Are the numbers with same [] number related or something?
