How do I increase max simultaneous downloads in Firefox?

Is it even possible?

I can't download more than 2 files at once /o\ help

have a look around in about:config

i use the flashgot extension.

much better since you can resume anyway and theres no limitations afaik

get a download accelerator
god DAP owns so hard, i can hook you up with a special version if youd like... you know where to reach me

never had a problem with multiple downloads in ff. Had 10 running yesterday simultaneously. Are you sure it's not a server-side thing? A lot of major download sites will only let you pull down 2 files at one (3dbuzz, badct, fileplanet etc...)

basically if there is a movie file or any link to large download from a website, right click the link to the file and click 'Flashgot link'

Flashget starts up and it begins downloading. I dont use it a lot cos i rarely download off the web, but when i do use it, it works fine.

I downloaded db 2.3 that way, I even stopped and resumed it a few times. So I've had no problems with it.

The only drawback is the advertising banner on the application. My keygen only lasts a couple of weeks, but nothing is disabled in the un-reg version.

cor: why use a download accelerator with downloadspeeds of 300kb/sec? i used DAP when i had 56k and didnt like it very much, but i see no reason to use it now.

i use getright! occasionly, but only really for resuming reasons.

mae i have 6mbit and most sites max out at like 200-300 per connection, i hook ole dap up and ive got 10 connections and it goes vrooooom

never had multidownload problems either.. with no download specific extensions.
