The two different sounds/riffs/whatever totally didn't fit together o_O
Rhythm baby..rhythm ¬_¬ it's important in music
(except for late 11th century Gregorian I guess.. 
Gregorian chanting/music was totally forgotten by 16th century though, so I don't think you'll have a lot of succes with that)
