"Bios not installed"

Mkay, couple of days now my comp is giving a weird error, started of with an error saying "Overclocking failed" (but it let me start anyway), and now every time I boot it tells me:
"No drive attached to FastTrak Controller. BIOS not installed."
or something like that.

Also on that same day it told me there was a new hardware detected, RAID controller.

I don't know much about these things, so thought maybe someone could help me out.

UPDATE: installed the raid driver, but it didn't really do much with the no bios error.
Gonna try the FastTrak drivers then...just wondering why this is happening all of a sudden.

EDIT ON THE UPDATE: It's still giving me a faulty driver (or no driver at all) icon on the RAID controller. :/

Disable RAID in the bios if you dont use it.

Look for conflicts in your device manager (control panel > system > hardware tab > device manager) and uninstall/remove or try and let windows update the drivers until it's happy with it (I'd go for the remove option)

You could try flashing your bios? /o\

Dunno how an error like this can randomly occur o_O

eek. u talking about bios made me do something...

cuz my cpu core is running at 133x18 fsb i wanted to change it to 160 (200 max), and its a good job i did try 160 instead of 200..

133 = 2400
160 = 2880
200 = 3600

so i changed it to 160 and my psu died, took me 1 hour for it to have enough power to load up my bios to default my settings :A

just imagine if i had 3600mhz... >< no psu for me \p

i suggest instead of a new cpu (3.6 would cost around £250-300) just get a few cpu fans and a new psu. well cost efficient

maybe you could try downloading a new bios for your motherboard (depends what it is) and flash it again.

shev, your psu doesn't die when you overclock. you can only put one fan on a cpu, and a psu shouldn't be contributing to this problem.

then how come this happened? it was a blattent psu power problem.

seriously

i clicked f10 to save to CMoS or wateva, and then my pc would turn off, so every so otfen id un-plug the tower plug socket and put it back in, but then it would turn off again before i could load up bios (takes a few screens to get to the "press del to go to bios screen")

so i waited 10 mins with the socket unplugged and then went further, but it shut down at the bios screen, kept trying this .. but when i left it out for about 20 mins and watched some tv, i could get into it and could load my default settings...

its happened before on my other pc "system 2 \o\" when i tryed to get default speed (1900+) which i needed a 300W psu to do this.. it just kept turning off quicker and quicker when i turned the pc on

same happened to sinas aswell, where he had to keep unplugging it and it was psu problem

read on internet, needs a good psu voltage to handle system tweaking, thats why i wont over overlock my gfx cuz it recommends a 250W and i only have 230W

lol, you most likely overheated the CPU,
causing it to reboot randomly, and having to make it cool down a bit before trying again.

Duh? :x

as much as i hate to admit it, and it goes against every moral fibre in my body, i think Messy i right. CPUs cannot 'charge' up thier power for an hour. Electronics 101.

i'd like to think it was that, but its a stable 28-30°C, with internal and external fan
