no no no no

bad internet people!

These settings violate the HTTP protocol, and give you a speed boost by flooding the web server with 20-something connections for every single image and page request. There's a reason that they're not the default. So while its faster for you, it fucks over the webserver and anyone using the line at the same time, but who cares right?

thats why you should use the extension.

It creates two settings, power and standard, and you can tweak each one as you need to and switch between them as need be.

Oi :( froste has a point /o\

you sound shocked that i have a point mewwy :)

pipelining is a method of queueing up requests from your browser to the webserver.

as luck would have it, both firefox and opera use some clever techy heuristic magic internet technology to work out how many requests to queue at once (i dont think ie have implemented it afaik). increasing the max number too high will actually slow down your porn browsing, as your browser will open one connection for each thumbnail of cock in ass action, and these requests will remain in the server cache until your request is actioned by the webserver.

essentially, pipelining is good (and iirc, its part of the http1.1 standards), but whacking the number too high isnt good for you, the server, or any of the other people browsing bigcocks.com
