Split pbox and keep box again.

Why?

Well, as a mapper i have a few ideas which can benifit frmo this. - adding in a pbox area which only require adding in one more volume to db that makes it possible to kill said team ,without this area turning your players into a keeper.

I'd love to make some training maps and such where you could use smaller targets as goals. without a keeper. but still possibly to kill ppl trying to get close to these targets.

Heh ^^; kind of like Spaceballs][ /o\ or whatever the map was called :)

It had a small pzone in the middle.


Anyway..what about spawning two random bots by default that sit outside the map and steal keeper position by default in 2 distant pzones at the edge of the skybox? ^^; impossible? :< k.

pfft, that is one way of doing it. but still you can lock a pass to them. and this is one simple solution that wouldn't effect deathball at all.

i don't see any logical reason not to add such a feature. it can only benifit the game and community. :)

Inph is just asking for another db volume that can be set as a team specific kill zone.

Same as the pbox - minus the keeper stuff.

Yes we are. I added another zone where you can kill whatever team you set it to in. However you dont become a keeper.

This wont become active unless you build a map with this zone in it. So its kind of a new mapping feature. But Deathball official maps wont be released using feature anytime soon.

It was easy to do and I like to support our mappers. So this zone will be available in 2.4.

That was very nice of you mpratt, thanks.

Don't worry DavidM, he's talking about a new additional volume. No change at all to how it's down now. You can now make a map like spaceballs with additional team kill zones and those zones won't be messed with keeper powers.

superb, there are some nice gameplay opportunities available now...

eg safe zones in the enemy territory

This could be really interesting... could be great for a DB-BloodBath map or something of that nature. Thanks for the feature add mpratt. If I knew how to map, maybe I should cart my ass to some FAQs to learn, I would probably try and make some interesting maps. Any places to find said FAQs or guides?
