Gibball 2 Release Candidate 1

To all those that missed Gibball and those desiring to try something new,

Here we go with our first official public beta and it's our 1st Release Candidate in what should prove to be a very successful beta testing session.

Those unfamiliar with the game, it plays much like Deathball except for one fundamental change, touching the ball equals death. Alt-Fire has been changed into a shield that will halt the ball and allow you to push it while it's in the air. However, holding this shield too long will kill you as well.

There are a few other changes to facilitate this change such as the removal of the self-volley speed limitation and the .2 deflection/deadball in some cases.

Just for credits distribution, thanks to Team Vortex for providing Deathball and allowing use of the code to facilitate this production. Catalyst was the primary coder doing nearly all of the work with Imaginos and myself reviewing it and making changes as needed.

We wish that people test this release and provide both bug reports and overall feedback (as long as it's constructive and respectful). Install by copying into your UT2004 base folder (Typically C:\UT2004 or C:\Program Files\UT2004\) and the files will extract to their proper folders. Thank you all for your time and have fun with this release.

Small Note: Goaltenders can move into their own goal, this was done to allow goaltenders to volley away balls that are on the goal line. This is not a bug!

NOTE: RC1a was released very shortly after RC1 to change the self-volley speed limitation.

NOTE 2: Sorry about the first release, neglected to include the SpikeBall texture cause I thought everyone already had it... here it is a fixed release. Take note of the new install directions above.

Props should go to Imaginos and Esor for this one, they've done a lot of work to fix it up for 2.x and I fully support what they've done to get it released. Well done guys :).

Imaginos is learning how to code. How in the world do you find the time to do all the suff you do?

It takes ordinary DB maps when I load it up... you're loading it with Deathball or standard UT2004? It should be loaded with Deathball.

We already have a few bugs that we are researching not to mention balancing issues. Right now it's noob-cannon heaven.
