You know you made deflect because if a ball was going x fast it woudlnt get caught in time, perhaps if a ball so going so fast it would go straight through them...
But I guess this would make it much like gibball, and not very competatively friendly. who knows

Worst. Idea. Ever.
L0af, you're cut! :p
I though deflect was depended on time (ie a split second after it was shot) not on ball speed...

Yup, Onge.
0.00s - 0.15s, enemy field player cannot catch the ball (it's a block distance, you don't deserve to catch a block)

Didn't Onge suggest this?
Anyway, what l0af is saying is not about it, I think he means that when the ball has a certain speed AND is in between that time (0.00s to 0.15s after being shot) it should go through you.
But that wouldn't work with the whole idea of blocking I guess.
I don't like it personally

Aw, I'm happy with it. All who moan about "gg deflect" totally forget about what it is like without it. That's got other issues. Only thing I wanna do about deflect is changing the timing a little. 0.12 or so maybe.

it's way worse for the defender to catch it anyway :\ that was just unreasonable looking back.
I don't know much about gameplay balancing though, so can't suggest anything on that..seems fine to me? although sometimes it still deflects from very far away imo :\
The most odd and annoying thing about deflect is that it keeps deflecting over and over in random directions hitting multiple targets :\
It seems like it should stop deflecting way sooner and should be caught at a certain speed or at the 2nd touch or something.
One other thing that's just plain buggy and seems easily fixable is that sometimes when you kill someone and radii already collide well enough for picking up/catching the ball..it just keeps deflecting underneath you :\ and you have to leave and enter the radius again to actually pick it up

I dunno if the last thing is still there. Matt did something about it once, and the new ball changes all anyway
I really would like to start testing with you guys

And we would really like to test it (well me anyway).
