I hate being forced to stream content through Windows Media Player.

Is there any workaround to download the files in the .asx?

ps: Opening notepad and taking out the url and changing mms:// into http:// doesn't always work /o\ somehow can't download it.

use bsplayer

Plays fine here in Media Player Classic.

p.s. I believe Streambox VCR will download streaming files. Haven't tried it myself and it was a couple of years ago I last heard it mentioned. Worth a punt maybe, unless somthing newer and better has been made for the job since.

Guess so. Been a while since I've used Winamp.
