I downloaded DB some hours ago and treated it like every other Mod or Mutator, merging Deathball with UT Folders (animations to animations, you know what I mean) and so on.
Now I got a white Title screen, no map previews... I figured out, BAD Idea mixing up those files. Even after uninstalling and deleting DB, nothing changes anymore. Is it possible to undo what I did, or do I have to reinstall UT2004?

sounds like you changed or removed some of the original UT files instead of only the deathball files which is bad...

the deathball files dont merge with the UT files, it goes into its own folder, ut files are

UT2004 -> Animations
UT2004 -> System
etc

but deathball files should be

UT2004 -> Deathball -> Animations
UT2004 -> Deathball -> System

and so on

im assuming you are using windows, if that is the case please download the installer EXE file and just use that, it does everything automatically and also gives you a shortcut to start deathball.

if you changed or removed the original UT2004 files then it is going to be very very hard to fix, and the fastest and easiest way to fix will be to reinstall UT2004, sorry you had so much trouble man...

You didnt install it right, because it should be in its own folder in UT2004, like beefsack said.

And no, you're not the only German - there are plenty of Germans in the EU community, heck, DavidM (who ran TV and this mod) is German

you screwed up. Deathball goes in
x:\<utfolder>\deathball, you don't merge the files. You will have to reinstall ut.

you have your UT installed to your root directory? o_O

UT2004 is: F:\UT2004\
Deathball SHOULD be: F:\UT2004\Deathball\
Deathball is now (-.-"): F:\UT2004\

So I'll reinstall now... I played Deathball on UT2003, and forgot to reinstall it that time, so I forgot Deathball ^^"
Thanks for telling me, maybe I'd have reinstalled UT much earlier anyway...

the reason you have a white screen is because of the ut2k4menus.utx file...you will need to have someone give you a copy or download the latest patch to get it again

It's alright now. I reinstalled UT and DB, and everything works fine now, I even have 2 minutes lower loading times (4 minutes till today... yuck... I got something of about 290MB RAM)
I remember playing DeathBall with a slightly modified Shield Gun... It's been a looong time, I guess.
