Funny little story ... yesterday I was going for some DB and upon trying to get the serverlist a message popped up, saying my CD key had been banned from online play and I should contact Epic with my global ID etc.
So I did and it turned out that they banned it for the use auf the nickname "aimbot" ... for now the ban has been removed, but I was told it would continue to get banned if I kept using this nick.
Funny how it only took them about 2 years to come to this conclusion! :p
Anyways, just wanted to share the comedy...

Well, I started using it with Deathball in UT2003 ... dunno exactly how long ago it was.

I got my cd key banned for kicking ass on a br server with the name of [Epic]CliffyB
Obviously cliffy took offence to appearing skilled.

i was playing rocketarena with him some times, years ago, when we just released it. he's a pretty damn freak, i can't remember me killing him a single time (and i was good in dm at that time!)

I remember entering a server back in UT99 with the nick, "the_gay_andthe_faggots". It was an insult to the fast and the furious and the owner of the server who was present at that time banned me for not liking.

I've played him, was on a euro server though and I won 15-0 or something on compressed. Played a couple of the other mappers aswell, like clawfist. Cliffy was the most skilled but none of them are too special.

Shit, I thought even DavidM owned after I saw that little clip on his homepage /o\
The one with the (absolutely) awesome swing music and the sniper rifle (at the beginning anyway :p) though he was most likely playing against noobs to show off
