Just yesterday, I got a Compaq Presario flat panel monitor and whenever I run any games that are 3D like doom 3 or quake or even my screensaver, I see a bunch of horizontal lines across the screen and the quality is crappy. I think it might be because the quality of the monitor is so good that it shows any defects. I screwed around with the color settings for a few hours but nothing makes a difference. I attactched a picture of my screensaver. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Is it properly attached to your video card?

Sounds like a rendering problem if only 3d is fucked up.

I have an Ati Radoen 9600 Pro video card and yes, it is properly attatched to my card.

reinstall drivers for both monitor and 9600, if not.. contact ati tbh
