This band kicks ass, and all of their music is free!

The singer's just not up there, which can kill bands like these. (example: listen to the intro of Waiting...sounds better and better ..until the singer gets in )
Sometimes he sounds quite good though Could just be bad recording x_X

edit: Nope; can't be the recording or mixing or anything listening to more songs not only do I realise production is actually done pretty damn well, I still stand by my opinion on this band ;p (read below also tbh)

Riffs are generally cliché, but soloes are good

A lot of other bands are all over this though. And though I wouldn't care for one moment that this kind of music hasn't been a trend for nearly 20 years, it has to be perfectly executed in order to still impress imo.

Would be a nice band to just go to and see live, but nah.

I also don't like the lack of depth in the basslines ;x (wtf @ partaker of evil).
A lot of bands in that genre do it, so how come bands like Megadeth can make similar music with awesome and complex basslines? Hell, even Messiah's Kiss has some decent ones

Not to only be negative though, I like the accelerations (though they tend to get stuck in them for too long ;p then build it off again slowly in some epic-breakdown etc., gets tedious ) and the guitar soloes are definitely good

ps: I also still don't like it when bass players play with plectrums in this kind of genre..but that's my personal opinion
