Or somewhere else? How do you celebrate Christmas?

I can't take pictures, I don't have a camera right now, but maybe later :)

I don't really, since i'm not christian. I get to come home from school and spend some time with family, highschool friends.

There are huge meals with turkey and ham and booze and pumpkin pie (very American foods). I'll have to find some pictures of this... Most people gain some weight this time of year :)

Well, I'm not christian either :)
Me and my family just do the same as you: use the opportunity to spend some time with family and friends, exchange some presents and eat lots of food :D

I have absolutely no christmas stuff in my flat, I don't need it; on the other hand, my parents have their house FULL of that stuff.
I haven't seen any (living pseudo-) santa here yet, but there's all kinds of cookies and other sweet stuff in the stores ...

My friends in germany just had a baby. So I bought her a squishy book of farm animals with the english names :) might as well start 'em young.

It's the biggest holiday by far. We get 2 weeks off school and exchange presents. People tend to go overboard with the lights and tacky light formations of Santa skiing (very tacky) and stuff, but it's all good fun I guess. I prefer just a tree and maybe some lights in the window.

I live in New York, and the stuff they do for christmas is incredible. They put up decorations all over the city, they have an ENORMOUS christmas tree near rockefeller center, (i'll try to post a pic of it online) and they even try to appeal to everyone by putting up Kwanzaa, Christmas, and Chanukkah lights and decorations all over. Of course, due to our transit strike, we can't see any of it right now...

Here's a pic of the tree. It's even bigger when you see it in person.

While Santa doesn't visit our house.. his spirit lives during this time of the year.

I taught my children from a young age that Christmas time was a time of giving.. NOT expecting or even, in some cases, getting presents.

They volunteer their time (as well as I do) to the homeless shelters, food banks, clothing banks, nursing homes.. etc. Anywhere that needs a helping hand (we actually do this all year around but this time of the year it's done almost daily)

I do decorate.. and I probably over decorate by some peoples standards. But seeing the towns people drive by slowely.. taking pictures and smiling makes the work I do worth it.

We start decorating around the first of November.. lights and everything need to be in working order by the day after Thanksgiving.

Here are a few pictures of my house over the last few years.

I apologize for the quality of the pictures.. these are the only pictures I have available (I can't find the CD of the rest of the pictures)

And here are a few pictures of the tree in the living room.... 2 of my kids are decorating. We have a larger tree in the den but I guess I don't have any pictures of it. I'll try to take some and post them later
