Deathball and UT2004
Rumours are that UT will become a yearly franchise and that UT2004 will be out in November. If this is confirmed at E3, will DavidM consider making a DB version for UT2004?
the news on planetunreal.com also says that it will be fully backwards compatible
:pWe'll be announcing what's happening next with Unreal Tournament at E3. Don't worry, any new UT related products shipping in the next 18 months will be compatible with UT2003, and so will serve to extend the life of the platform your mod is built on rather than replacing it.
Awesome news. And I followed up with Mr. Polge myself to confirm that this isn't some wacky hoax. DJGen also posted this mail from Mark Rein:
If there were going to be a UT2004 it would be fully backward compatible with 2003 so mod makers wouldn't have to worry about that. But that's all I can say for now

Indeed it will be, Epic taking around 3-4 years producing Unreal Tournament, which was released in 1999 and then taking another 3 years to produce something as high quality as UT2K3. which was released last year. It would ruin their image to rush a whole brand new game engine and bring it out within a year. Like the others say it will be add-on's.
Epic wouldn't want to turn get EA's image how many fifa soccer games have been released that all play the same?

fifa was always 2 steps forward, 1 step backward
they used to go by that rule for some years
but then fifa2003 came out
it was like 1 step forward, 5 steps backward
i couldnt be bothered to play that one
I played all others until the next version came out
