Which ones do you like better (in the context of their popularity and importance to the electronic music industry?)

Yes, this is a bit random..it's Off-Topic innit?

Sources you could look at:

- Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music (very good site);
- Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amen_Break and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funky_Drummer and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_TR-808 and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roland_TR-909;
- This site for the two breaks (and some other popular/important ones); and
- This short documentary on the Amen_Break.

edit: fixed 909 link.

Also, before anyone says something about the undeniable importance of the TB-303: That goes without saying, right? \o/

i hear more samples of the amen break in tracks but i prefer the funky drummer

dont really have a preference on the machine itself since both could/can be used to make something special, or alternatively shitty. but for the puposes of your NON-CHECKBOX poll; 808 solely cos sir-mix-a-lot used one.
