I've been good for all my Photoshopping needs so far, but what programs do you all use for the audio puzzles? All I've gotten out of Windows Sound Recorder and my mic so far is static and feedback.

(On level 48 and having a blast. Thanks for the great challenges!)

And google can find you more audio programs than you'd ever want/need. :D

And 3rd: Read the FAQ about how to get Soundrecorder to you NOT the mic.

I know, I can record directly from my sound card . Perhaps my frustrations would be better placed in Windows Sound Recorder, not the mic setup. I'm just wondering if anyone uses anything different that they'd recommend where one can edit files directly instead of recording them again. I've been Tucowsing around, and nothing seems to stand out as fitting the bill.

But if everyone else thinks Windows Sound Recorder is the best tool to use for the job, I can deal. -shrug!- Just thought there might be an equivalent for Adobe Photoshop in the audio world that I didn't know about.

I found Goldwave quite useful, but it's shareware, not free. But the evaluation version works fine :)
