I was demorecording a little deathball to show to my clanmates, but when I went to play it back it said I needed DeathballSP... What's that mean?

you trying to playback it with a different version than with which you recorded it?

Huh? I thought I could only play it back in the Community Menu in UT2k4... Where can I play it back in the Deathball menu?

uhm no. better not use this
use these commands

demorec <name>
demoplay <name>

open deathball (the version you demo'd)

press ' type: demoplay [insert demoname]

also if you want to watch the demo you have to enter a instant game first or go on an server and type the "demoplay xy" there otherwies all you can see is a "loading.." screen with sounds.

edit: reason? i just opened deathball, pressed ', typed: demoplay 7v7.demo4 and it worked fine

on the community/demo screen, can you not chose convert to avi?

edit: you have to load unreal tournament not deathball, communty, demo's, create the avi

i havent tried it before so sorry if im wrong

Yea, I already tried that, and when I do that, it, once again, asks me for DeathballSB

it only means, the demo was recorded with a different version of deathballai.u than then one you have.

Download Fraps....
Then play your deathball demo and record it with they keybind you have put Fraps on: it will save your demo as a .avi in the map you have chosen for it.

fraps is mighty lagging bullshit. never ever use it
