Day after day, I see people whining about Volley Only servers. If the goal is open and there is no goalie in the box, im shooting. I could care less. Whining about me shooting when you wanna play volley only is a sad excuse for not putting someone in the goal box. If your team cannot defend on a normal shot, why should you be playing volley only anyway? normal shots are easier to defend against than volley shots when they are done right.

If the server says volley only in the server message, thats fine. Ill take my game elsewhere. Lets make this game type a switch in the server settings so we collectivley dont have to worry about goal whining anymore. Espicially for the newer players.

is there any way to get an icon in the server browser...

from what i know of the gui, an icon is doubtful but there most likely will be an entry in the server details listing, ie Volley Only = True or something.

or you can find out the hard way.....

with the new volley only mutator it'll be sorta hard to convince
certain players that you're playing "volley only" with the mutator
not being selected

you can have it only be active on certain maps?
e.g. that it's only active on smallcube with smallcube & cube in rotation?

well i read somewere in the ina-community forums that you can write the maps in the maplist as urls (i.e. db-cube?game=Deathball.DB_Deathball?mutator=somemut.mut?bAllowLongShots=True ...)
and asuming that volleyonly will be enabled by a variable you could edit your ini and add ?bVolleyOnly=true (or whatever) to maps that you want this enabled and ?bVolleyOnly=false to those you want it disabled on. you could also add the same map with different settings this way...

bah they gotta make it so you can choose in the mapvotes or something, that would be the best way...
