Haven't played in almost a year. I know NA was dying, what about in Euroland?

lol db has been dying for what, 5 years now?

i have no clue bout NA

euroland isnt dead its just not that frequently visited that it was 5 years ago. i bet there are minimum 5 -6 piuckups played a day mostly 3on3s . time to time tehre are 4 on 4s and 5 on 5 s too but not that often, its not like db is completely dead. if i want to play db and join irc I often am able to join a pickup and play within an hour maximum

3 years ago? crap. 3 years ago people where buying ut2k4 for db 2.0 with 1.9b still running for an NA and Euro league. meaning clan wars and public play.

i think its not dead.

I start play Db with 2.4r and I got good advise from the comunity so I stay with the game and its always fun because its a funny comunity. I always laugh when i play a PickUp

got to a stage with more people playing doom3 rather than db. thats when i can remember it was dieing. that with wow guild wars and having to change to 2.0. but it certainly was alot more active...about 10x more active than now.

it's pretty much david's fault

when the new sounds kicked in the game got screwed up, this version was meant to kill VO play, like bouncing the ball under you(lol i could still do that even in 2.4k)

david didnt like the fact ppl would prefer playing Volley Only over regular DB and that sucked cuz he sucked in VO so he needed ppl to play with him rather then being alone in his server

the curve thing also screwed it up, it caused an unfair advantage for people that have 8way wheel mouse, and ppl that werent going to buy a new mouse were pretty much screwed.
also the big changes in gameplay cost the community a lot of players, especially if u introduce a new patch with altered gameplay every 2 weeks

all and all I would like to say the developers killed DB, but to be honest it was al davids doing

p.s. i quit DB over a year after playing from v1.9 (I played about 2-3 years)

id rather see it dead than loads of vo nubs everywhere

you don't need an 8 way mouse wheel, just enough buttons :p

simply not true, like the rest of ur post lol but that in particular there are lot of ppl playin without 8wheel mouse and so do I, its not difficult after all, u need 2 matches to get used to the 2 more banana buttons and thats it
