First of all i was just thinking, what if the n00b cannon isnt taken out? I mean i think it shouldn't. Not that i use it, but whats so wrong with it? maybe if you limited it like after you shoot the ball instead of not being able to hit it, make it a weaker volley. If a team has d, the other team's offence shouldnt be able to noob it due to the d. If they are open to do it, thats the d's fault. For a keep if the speed was limited it would be almost like a pass shot from further away. And most keeps can just jump at the ball and pick it up. Anyways if you change the time it takes to volley a ball, that ruins a lot of tricks. I've seen many shots/tricks/etc done that wouldnt be with out this. And also what about this scenario:lets say i shoot the ball and the keep catches it and rigth after catching passes but i go up to hit the ball-but i cant. I dont think that would be very fair. Some feedback?

faster in what way? speed wise the ball could travel in similar speeds of a pass shot. and you wouldnt do it inside the pbox...

then why not juse use the pass shot

thats the point im trying to make. If you made the change i mentioned nobody would even use it. There are a ton of moves that would not be possible with the changes that are going to be made.

cause if used properly can be confusing to defenders or the keeper.

Frosty, I know the kind of tricks your talking about but the reason they are such effective tricks is that at the end of the day the ball still gets blasted at a phenomenal rate with no charge time required. It's this that is inherently unfair.

From outside the penalty area an attacker can use the noob cannon or a variation of it to completely wrong foot the keeper.

You may say that its the defense's responsibility to prevent those shots, and your right. And in my experience, a good defense can do just that or at least make the cannon harder to pull off. However, the extremely valid point that DavidM and many others make is what exactly is the purpose of the shoot button if noobcannoning is faster and more effective?

How about making self vollies inaccurate. But normal volleys stays the same.

I.e. if you've just let go of the ball, either a pass or weak shot, then for about 1 second your volley accuracy is reduced. This could also solve the self-volley whores.. forcing them to setup volleys for team mates rather than going solo.

hehe, had a massive argument about n00b cannon once with cata, about the good and bad points of n00b cannon, i thought n00b cannon was handy for a defender to pass it up the field quicker making the gameplay more exciting, but using it for shooting is the downside and unfair. My verdict is mixed.

though samy accoracy will need to be really bad if they keep the n00b cannon as it could still pass the keeper even if the shooter aims for the left side (it might go right, fooling the keeper)
