There are an estimated 750,000 words in the English language.
Nearly half of these are of Germanic (or Teutonic) origin, and nearly half from the
Romance languages (languages of Latin origin--such as French, Spanish, and
Italian--or Latin itself). There also have been generous borrowings from other languages,
including Greek, Dutch, Modern German, and Arabic.
A good *removed* serves as a guide to the origins of English words

indeed a very interesting topic, too bad you were spamming and your link is bullshit.
but i started getting into the origins of symbols and words....you slowly start to really understand the world and how we are being fooled around and controled by our misknowledge of all the common words and symbols.
