How's about in 1.7 a an option (like with only-volley, impede ballcarrier etc) that removes boosting from the game. No boosting teammates, no boosting opponents, nothing. The weapon will only be used to kill the ball carrier and to volley. This might appease the purists and make positional play paramount again...Few bother to defend because they can be boosted back. Maybe this way those who go on about how great DB was before boosting might be happy and it'll certainally caught those out who don't play positionally...Some of the best public matches I've played in had so little boost you really had to think about your positioning and reading of the game more...

I'm not saying for one moment boosting should be removed from DB, it's a valuable and legitimate way of playing. But if you give players the option to turn it off maybe we'll stop all the anti-boost feelings and get people playing DB again rather than moaning about it...

you can't removing boosting away the other team that would fuxor it up

stupid idea.....i think they have to remove the boostgoals bu not boosting in general.

thanks to boosting there are pretty much the positions of keeper and non-keeper i want positioning to actually matter...

im sure someone here can make a mutator to stop player pushing power or whatever, doesn't have to be official.
