how do i get the deathball menu?

with the red and so on?
i start up my deathball shortcut (-ini=deathball.ini) and i just get the normal ut2003 thing

your shortcut should look somthing like this:
X:\UT2003\System\UT2003.exe -mainmenu=deathball.db_mainmenu -ini=deathball.ini

you have no ini file, it will come with the 1.7 full version
for now just use -mainmenu=deathball.db_mainmenu

that would be useless unless u want to use shortcuts for different versions of db (for switching between 1.6 and 1.7 for example), or have different settings (like dodge doubleclick for keeping etc. hud/xhair changes)
