When I started an instant match, to view some new models I grabbed yesterday, I noticed there was an option to make the ballcarrier unable to move. Potentially, this could make players pass more, which can only be a good thing.

So, are any servers out there using this option, so I can try it out (now that I am playing DB again)?

it was intended to be used for trainings to learn passing and getting yourself into space to receive a pass

Precisely. It would suck, especially with a large number of players.
