Suggestion (foa TV team)

The Situation
--------------

Im one on one thru on goal at an angle, i wanna shoot with the pass button strength, i press pass and it goes to a team mate on the opposite side of the box...

The Problem
-----------
Pass lock of course, the cone idea was good but doesnt fix this

The Solution (possible)
---------------
A key that releases the ball at non locked pass strength and does not attempt to lock the ball onto someone.

Just an idea, i know it would be very useful for players of every position, and would not really give anyone an unfair advantage.
A possible idea for 1.9?

its just the same as the current pass shot, just without the annoyance of locking onto someone when u dont want it too

ya, that happens once a year
my idea was to press 2ndfire, hold it, press 1st fire (deactivates pass lock and releases ball), 1st fire only needs to be clicked

and additionally when you hold the pass button, but you dont want to pass, hold 1st fire to get out of the pass mode (no matter how you release the buttons)



I tried to explain it to jero once, but he didn't get it, so I gave up, maybe this helps.

hmm sounds good and bad if its at the same speed as a pass shot then i supose it couldnt be abused that bad... im not sure :(

well thats the same idea i had david basically, and also the idea of being able to cancel holding the pass button is good, the amount of times thats happened to me recently is unbelievable, have to resort to either assing backwards or off a near by wall.

edit: i spelt passing as "assing" thought it was kinda funny=/ cant let u guys miss out on it:x

cancel pass = good

using a passhot as a real shot, silently, without the error of locking someone else is just tard...

why not use a real shot? durr...

because u dont have time to charge it? it would be EXACTLY the same as using the current pass shot, tho it would negate the annoyance of it locking onto a nearby team-mate, it really doesnt happen that often but it would be nice to have it fixed.
Tho surge, i really dont see what ur problem is with everyone elses ideas, tho when u make ur own suggestions (ie the gibbing of close defenders) you wonder why they're shot out of the water

yeah, tbh, i have lowered mine, and i don't have the problem...thing is, i keep loosing lock just as i pass to people now...need to do more tweakage

well see the idea of passing is to pass with it, hence why its called a pass.

Also, i dont shoot down all idea. This ones just redundantly useless. A pass shot is a whole .1-.2 seconds of charge faster than if you used a regular shot. Besides, anywhere where you would use a pass shot at that close of range, you could easily dump a real shot in considering they do go pretty far thanks to the shot power upgrade in 1.7.

edit: also your suggestion is EXTREMELY situational... think outside the box
