Much like in hockey and fun for small games, there should be a mode called post mode. The object is basically to hit all three posts (left, right, and crossbar) and that dictates the winner. The rules would still be the same except for the following:

Any balls going in the net immediately get placed at center
No one is allowed in either penalty box from any team (to prevent gaying)
Only the first post can be counted on a shot (this is the typical goal where possession changes afterwards).
Any post getting hit for a second time counts as a regular hit and doesn't stop play
Any balls that lay dead in the penalty box immediately get put back at center

This is more or less a fun mode which seems pretty cool, I think it would make a nice addition, I posted a poll to collect some opinions and I'd value options feedback. Thanks.

To make it harder, how about the hit only counting if the ball doesn't (or does, dunno which would be best) go in the goal.

This answers The_One's concern and Messiah's comment. Only the first post hit will be scored on a shot, multi-post hits shouldn't count.

Could you rocket them off the post with the penalty box being closely guarded and trying to shoot from the outside. You know, only volley shots and no long shots can be activated in this mode.

Well you didn't say it wouldn't count as a hit if it goes in straight afterwards.

That is what I was trying to say.

They WILL count as they should, because it hits the post before entering the net... it's gonna be graphical judgement on how that's ruled but more times than not a ball going off the post and in will count.

I know you meant it would count, I just thought to make it harder... oh nevermind. :p

Just ask Weisso and Leto to score regular goals... ta-da, they win... duh.
