just want to know what your thoughts are on a american style gameplay for deathball (form line of scrimmage, gain territory, try and score touchdowns)

Probably too much to do .. its a bit of a stupid game tbh, and it aint American Football, its pussy-rugby ..

I mean, they have 2 teams ffs, offence and defense... lazy fuckers..

theres a map created for american football called db-football, i think.

He means with all the things in American Football, which would be a bit much

..and DB-Football sucks cos u have to jump when you reach the End Zone

well modified so its like american football but without all the crappy rules such as interference and holding (since it'd be hard to code that)

i dont know how to code either but i got some ideas on how it could be done if someone wants to actually try it

i asked cata to make a simple american football mod of db absolutely ages ago but he wasnt interested =(

i think a very simple version would work well, and would be fun for ppl who like to whore primary passes for no reason or benefit.

could find a use for sprint here too, and some stuff like boosting would have to be drastically changed (so u cant boost the whole way up the field, but u can still shove ppl out of the way etc..)

but the game would require a lot of team work or it would just be crap.

arcade style game would be fun, but you guys dont't diss on american football too much, you try to come back up when a 250 pounder hits you as you're both going full speed in opposite directions, and this is with pads and a helmet.

anyway, nfl-blitz style gameplay wouldn't be too complicated and would be a lot of fun

then make tha fucking mod kthx without hammers thoe;)

I already suggested this on the american forum (and not here because of the foreign ignorance). A 5v5 / 7v7 football mod would be fun to play... and the people that bitch about it dont have to play.

PS - Dont make any suggestions that favor americans, or any new idea towards an american angle, unless youre prepared to get flamed for it.

well if any american coders wanna try and do it then go ahead, i'd give it a try if it was made.

doubt anyone here would code it.

i only suggested american football because its the only game that i know of that has a totaly different game breakdown from vanilla deathball and tennis. i'll have a talk with my current mod's coder to see if he wants to start anything but have in mind this is going to be an aussie's take on nfl, hence its going to be different
